Route 66

Iconic due to the traffic carried from the ’40s to the building of the Interstate Hiway system, there are may parts still with the old flavor.

This is the Mother Road that carried traffic from Chicago to Los Angeles for many years. Out west, the motel business sprung up with wildly decorated buildings and artsey restaurants designed to draw in the traveler. The roads demise came when the Interstate built after 1955 bypassed many of these towns. Recently there has been a nostalgia resurgence that has brought many of the tourists back. Here are many of the places taken around Williams Az. Enjoy!
